Why have the media Soo thin women?!?

I ask because I see everywhere measurements (in women) ask for size 0-4 (U.S.) to 5'9 "-5 '11" about 120 pounds. Ralph Lauren recently launched a model for being "too big" (120 lbs 5'10 ") and Photoshop her to be thinner than it already is.'s Ridiculous!

This is simply a money saving exercise. The thinner girls are more than can fit on the pages of fashion magazines, making more use of valuable advertising space. big girls = more space girl = less advertising = no dinner on Tuesdays = whence my pen go? = I think I may have lost track here?
